Left Handed Guitar Playing

People who have to play the guitar left handed can do so by simply making a few adjustments to your outlook and your guitar. So if you think that you have to be right handed in order to play correctly think again because left handed guitar players can play right handed guitars.

If your left hand tells you to perform a certain way, try listening to your left hand. Your active hand, your left one, will eventually make your right one passive. Do more you do this the more your right hand will do whatever the left one tells it to do.

Do not change the order of the strings on your guitar. Learn to play it the way it is but with your left hand. People who have paid for a custom left handed guitar have gone back to playing the original guitar because it was that much easier.

When playing a regular guitar make sure the sixth string, the E string is on top and closest to the shoulder. If you need to buy a left handed guitar do so, Gibson guitars has an acoustic for a left handed player and Martin also has one. Whatever the case make sure you do your research because you could end up paying double for a regular left handed guitar.

Many famous guitar players have tried to pick their guitar with their right hands only to go back to their natural reaction, playing left handed. Just know that many famous people like Paul McCartney and Cut Cobain have made their fortune by playing the guitar left handed.
